Shobhit Khandelwal is an entrepreneur and technology leader with a career focused on data, artificial intelligence, and large-scale digital transformation. He grew up in India in a family deeply involved in entrepreneurship and infrastructure development, an environment that shaped his interest in building systems, solving complex problems, and creating economic value through innovation.
After completing his early education in India, Shobhit pursued executive studies at Columbia University, where he expanded his expertise in leadership, technology strategy, and cross-border business. His work has since centered on creating advanced data and AI capabilities for global enterprises.
Shobhit is the Founder and CEO of ShyftLabs and Carter, two organizations that deliver end-to-end data engineering, AI, and commerce media solutions for major retailers, financial institutions, and public sector organizations across North America. Under his leadership, these companies have built high-impact platforms in personalization, AI-powered decisioning, and enterprise transformation.
He also serves on the board of tZERO, a regulated digital securities and capital markets technology company, where he contributes to the modernization of market infrastructure and the responsible adoption of tokenization technologies.
With professional roots spanning Canada, the United States, and India, Shobhit maintains deep relationships with business and policy leaders across all three regions. Much of his current work involves strengthening partnerships between North America and India in areas such as retail, technology, supply chain, and digital innovation.
Shobhit brings a global perspective, strong execution background, and a long-standing commitment to fostering collaboration between Canada and India. He is interested in contributing to the Canada India Foundation’s mission through leadership, partnership development, and support for initiatives that advance economic and technological cooperation.
