Philanthropy Committee
Canada India Foundation decided to form a dedicated committee to take care of all CIF Charitable Foundation activities. The committee will work independently with the mandate given below. Committee can also suggest modifications in the mandate, roles and responsibilities as they deemed fit to the CIF Charitable Foundation mandate.
Mandate
CIF Charitable Foundation is working since 2007 and undertaken a number of projects. The objective of the CIF Philanthropy Committee is to conceive, develop and execute charity programs, fundraising plans and strategies to assure the fiscal health of the CIF Charitable Foundation through donations, government grants and fund development.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Committee will identify the areas of Charity (Individuals, organisations, Old age home, institutions etc.) verify their needs to estimate the budget for the project.
- Committee need to develop fundraising plans and recommend strategic activities to maximize the CIF Charitable Foundation’s potential to raise funds.
- Members are advised to leverage their & other CIF Members’ network of personal and professional associates to identify & establish long term relations with potential donors.
- Committee to support special events such as Food Drive, Golf, & Annual Gala in promotion and marketing.
