Om Malik, Principal and CEO of ECOH Management Inc., a reputable Environment, Health and Safety firm, is an internationally recognized expert with more than 40 years’ experience in environmental health and industrial hygiene.
Prior to co-founding ECOH, he held senior positions with the Ontario Ministry of Labour, where he directed the control of hazardous materials in industries across the province. An expert in occupational health risk assessment, air quality issues, and control of infectious materials and other hazardous materials, he has led the development of international health and safety conventions as Chair of an International Labour Organization subcommittee representing over 100 countries.
A recipient of the Hugh Nelson award for excellence in industrial hygiene, Om is an engaging and sought-after public speaker and expert witness. He has been an adjunct Professor of Industrial Hygiene at the University of Toronto, has been named a distinguished Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and is designated a Qualified Person for Risk Assessment (QPRA) by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. He is the founding member of Workplace Health Without Borders, a Non-Profit organization dedicated to protecting worker health worldwide.
