Canada India Foundation met with Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) on Wednesday, September 28. Ajit Someshwar and Vipul Jani represented CIF, while CIJA was represented by Joel Reitman, Vice Chair and Berl Nadler, Co-Chair, CIJA Toronto as well as Ariella Kimmel, Senior Manager, Partnerships. The meeting took place at 155 Wellington Street in downtown Toronto and we discussed a range of issues, including : – Celebrating 25 years of India-Israel Relations, – 150 Years of Canada – their successful Internship program and how can they assist us to kickstart our own internship program. – new software which will help us keep in touch with policy makers and send reminders to our own members regarding some important messaging – a potential joint mission to Israel and then may be to India as well, on the same trip. Both sides agreed to keep in regular touch and deepen our relationships while exploring areas of mutual interest and benefit.
