Anita Dalakoti has consistently been recognized as a leading financial advisor in her field of expertise. She is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®

 

She is currently the CEO of Apple Insurance & Financial Services Inc. where she leads a team providing general insurance to a range of clients in the greater Vancouver area. Anita is also the President of Dalakoti Financial & Insurance Services Inc. where she provides financial management services, estate planning, personal insurance, corporate & tax planning services.

 

Anita is passionate about bringing the very best financial expertise and services to her clients. Prior to her leadership of Apple Insurance & Financial Services, Anita spent over a decade as a Personal Financial Advisor with Sun Life Financial and Sun Life Investments Services.

 

She won numerous prizes and accolades in this role: in 2014, she ranked 4th among the Top 50 Financial Advisors in Canada; in 2012 and 2013, she was the recipient of the Five Star Wealth Advisor Award, the largest and most widely published wealth manager award program in North America. In addition, she is a CARP Recommended Advisor, a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging, and a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.

 

As an active member of the community, Anita works assiduously for her clients and the greater good of society. She served on the Board of the Law Foundation of British Columbia from 2012 to 2018. She has also served as a Lay Bencher on the Law Society of BC from 2018 to Jan 2020 . She was a Charter Member of the Canada India Foundation from 2010 to 2016. She also served as the Treasurer of the Canada India Foundation. She was an active member of the Rotary Club of Vancouver-Fraserview till 2016.  In the past, Anita served on the Board of the Ethno-Business Council. She has also hosted numerous exchange students from Asia as they pursued their studies in Canada.

 

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 2000, Anita lived and worked in Beijing, China for 15 years, during which time she was the Country Manager of China for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), a statutory body within the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Her career in Canada started at Best Buy/Future Shop as a Marketing Manager.

 

Anita has an MBA in International Business & Marketing from Durham University, UK. She completed her Bachelors

& Masters Degree from J awaharlal Nehru University, one of the top universities of India, in Russian Language & Literature.

 

Anita is multilingual—fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu and Mandarin—her Russian and French are a wee bit rusty. Anita excels in cross-cultural work environments. She lives in North Vancouver and has two adult daughters.
